The role
As part of your role as a Capital Allowances Tax Associate, you will work as part of a specialist team within our Tax Advisory business. Capital allowances are a valuable tax relief for property expenditure and our team specialises in preparing claims to maximise the available reliefs.
The main aspects of role will include:
- Analysing property costs to determine the correct tax treatment
- Assisting with the preparation of reports for submission to clients and HMRC
- Assisting more senior staff on surveys of client premises to record evidence of qualifying assets and make assessments to support our capital allowances reports
- Assist with the preparation of client proposals
- Develop a detailed understanding of the capital allowances legislation and how that interacts with client’s broader tax position
Qualification
We have created a first-class training and development programme and, by starting your career at Azets, in addition to the comprehensive on the job training, you will also be given all the support you need to complete a professional qualification, including college and/or study days, mentoring and a designated buddy.
We offer a range of different qualification pathways at Azets which are determined by the role you are applying for. The qualification that will be undertaken for this position will be the ATT/CTA pathway.

- Need the right to work in the UK from your start date
- Be on track to achieve or have already achieved a minimum 2:2 in your undergraduate degree
