About The Role

Altrad are currently on the lookout for a Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer to join the business to support the civil and structural engineering and design activities for projects, develop skills and knowledge in civil and structural engineering through practical experience and mentorship and to contribute to delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions within the project team.

Key Deliverables:

  • Assist in developing and preparing detailed civil and structural design documents, including layouts and calculations.
  • Support senior engineers in reviewing and checking design deliverables.
  • Participate in site visits and surveys to gather information for design development.
  • Engage with cross-disciplinary teams and clients to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and safely.
  • Generate and present technical documentation and reports, sharing insights and project progress.
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in line with industry regulations.
  • Contribute to identifying and delivering work process improvements.
  • Deliver accurate and high-quality civil and structural design calculations and documentation.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and client requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in civil and structural engineering.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the design team.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng or BEng Hons) or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • A self-starter who can also thrive in team settings.
  • A commitment to ethical and professional standards.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for engineering and continuous personal development.
  • Basic knowledge of civil and structural design principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in using relevant design and analysis software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
