Join a progressive, fast-growing asset manager as a CLO Portfolio Analyst. Fair Oaks Capital is a leading independent investment manager specialising in corporate credit, primarily through CLO debt and equity investments. Fair Oaks manages in excess of $3 billion across product offerings including private and listed funds, separately managed accounts and a UCITS fund. We are a rapidly growing organization with offices in London and New York.
This is an excellent entry-level role for a recent graduate eager to launch a career in finance, with a focus on European leveraged loans and Collateralised Loan Obligations (CLOs). This role is ideal for a motivated graduate seeking a challenging and rewarding start in financial reporting and operations, with clear opportunities for growth and development in the CLO and leveraged loan markets.
About the Role
You will work closely with experienced credit fund managers and gain hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of CLO portfolio reporting and operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Daily reconciliation of cash, positions, and trades across internal and external portfolio management systems.
- Monitoring investment exposures and assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly investor reports.
- Supporting the production of waterfall calculations and compliance tests for CLO portfolios.
- Collaborating with third-party partners such as trustees, fund administrators, and corporate service providers.
- Assisting in the ongoing development and enhancement of proprietary investment monitoring and reporting systems.
- Participating in ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives with internal teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Recent graduate with an excellent academic background; a degree in accountancy, finance, economics or a related discipline is preferred.
- Great Excel skills - VBA/Python experience is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, great organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
