About the role

We’re looking for an empathetic, proactive Community & Programme Coordinator to join our mission-driven team. You’ll be the vital bridge between our ambitious vision and day-to-day execution.

This role directly contributes to our goal of 10 million annual iDEA badge achievements by 2030, helping millions more people gain life-changing skills. You’ll take ownership of key operational tasks including community support, where you’ll be the link between frontline user queries and senior leadership - your insights will directly inform our technology roadmap, content development, and partnership strategy.

The role will evolve with you - responsibilities can grow into specialist areas as your interests and our needs align. Our CEO started in a similar role several years ago!

The difference you'll make

Every task you take on will help learners and partners get more from iDEA, strengthen our community, and shape the future of our platform.

Community Support & Development

  • Be the friendly, knowledgeable voice responding to learner and educator queries across our global community
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and work with our CTO to resolve technical challenges
  • Capture and analyse community feedback to help inform strategic decisions
  • Support our partner schools, colleges, and a wide range of incredible community organisations to maximise their iDEA impact
  • Gather compelling learner and partner success stories for fundraising and communications
  • Create resources supporting partner onboarding and learner guidance
  • Support educational outreach to expand our reach to more partners
  • Support the growth of an iDEA alumni ambassador network
  • Produce inspiring content for social, newsletters, and case studies to showcase iDEA’s impact

Strategic Administrative Support

  • Assist with event coordination and partnership meetings
  • Help automate repetitive tasks and implement efficiency improvements
  • Support various strategic projects as the organisation scales

Learning Experience Development

  • Help turn learner insights into better features, content, and resources
  • Support coordination with iDEA’s network of expert advisors and specialists

The person we're looking for

We need someone who is genuinely excited about building something rather than just 'doing a job' - someone curious, self-motivated, proactive, and who embodies the growth mindset we promote through iDEA.

  • Brilliant communication skills: you enjoy helping people and can quickly build rapport with diverse audiences.
  • Excellent diagnostic communication skills: you can quickly understand the real issue behind user queries and explain solutions in simple, accessible language
  • Resilience and adaptability: you thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent follow-through: you're a finisher who sees projects through to completion rather than leaving things half-done
  • High organisational skills: you can juggle multiple priorities without dropping balls
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and analytics tools: you can record and analyse support desk data to identify user feedback patterns and maintain issue trackers to drive platform improvements
  • Exceptional design sense: you enjoy creating visually appealing documents, presentations, and resource materials
  • Tech-savvy with a learning mindset: eager to learn new tools and platforms
  • Collaborative spirit: you work brilliantly both independently and as part of a small tight-knit team

Bonus Points For:

  • Personal experience with iDEA
  • Customer service or user support experience
  • Training, or educational support background
  • Video editing and social media skills
  • Explored interest in AI tools and process automation
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace for collaborative working and data organisation

What We Offer
