About the Role
Are you a recent conservation, ecology, or environmental graduate?
We have an opportunity to join the Conservation team, supporting the team members to carry out conservation activities and managed conservation contractors.
You will maintain up to date records on GIS and utilise data to inform the wider business of conservation information.
As part of this role, you will support small conservation projects. This includes supporting colleagues to collate stories from across the Environment & Sustainability Team, for internal & external communications, helping promote awareness of environmental issues and the action required to address them.
Through supporting your Conservation team leader with administration of the WINEP (Water Industry National Environment Programme), you will gain awareness of the team's wider environmental work.
You will support conservation team members with seasonal ecological site surveys and administration of the annual survey programme.
About You
If you are passionate about nature and the environment, then we want to hear from you.
You will have proven communication skills, coupled with the ability to work collaboratively, and build positive working relationships. You'll have the ability to actively listen to others to make appropriate recommendations.
You will be able to partner collaboratively with teams, using your organisation skills to plan, coordinate, and deliver to timescales. You will be well-versed in following processes and procedures.
The successful candidate will work outdoors in all weathers, across varied terrain, with some manual handling and lone working required.
As there will be frequent travel between sites, a full and valid driving licence is required.
Please note you will be employed through our provider Pertemps.
