Data Analytics and Computer Science Undergraduate Summer Internship
Internship
What you’ll be doing
We’re exploring new ways to turn complex data into valuable insights, and you could be part of the team making it happen. On this internship, you’ll help us identify opportunities for digital innovation and support live projects that keep our systems and services running smoothly.
This is a paid internship lasting approximately 10 weeks, starting in early June 2025 (exact dates and duration will be confirmed with the successful candidate). Based at our Rosyth site, you'll have the chance to explore digital system integration opportunities, order and capture data for both current builds and future support and identify and develop additional value proposition projects for our customers. Plus, you'll support our existing data management provider by ordering and communicating user requirements.
You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and gain first-hand experience in how data and computer science contribute to major engineering programmes.
What you’ll get out of it
Our internships offer more than just work – they’re a chance to experience life at Babcock, meet new people, and develop skills that will enhance your future career.
We’re passionate about nurturing the next generation of talent coming into our industry. That’s why we’ll make sure you’re surrounded by supportive colleagues and receiving guidance from experienced professionals every step of the way.
We value the contributions and fresh perspectives that interns bring to the team, and that’s because we believe you hold the potential to become the future of our business. But we also understand that this placement is as much about you assessing what’s right for you as it is about us getting to know you. Perform well, and you could be fast-tracked for next year’s graduate programme – your journey with Babcock could just be getting started.
What you’ll need
- You’ll need to be studying a degree in Computer Science.
