At Rolls-Royce we are proud to be a business that has truly helped to shape the modern world and are committed to always being a force for progress; powering, protecting and connecting people everywhere.

By joining Rolls-Royce in an Emerging Talent programme, you'll have the opportunity to work on world-class solutions, supported by a culture that believes individuality is our greatest strength, and all perspectives, experiences and backgrounds help us innovate and enable our high-performance culture.

We’re one of few companies with the breadth of technology and expertise to tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges and on your 12-month internship with us, you'll get the chance to experience it first-hand.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll join our Engineering, Technology and Safety organisation, which supports all our different divisions. You’ll complete rotational ‘gigs’, gathering experiences in areas like innovation and concept development, design, testing, manufacturing, or service support for sectors as wide-reaching as Electrical, Defence, IT and Digital & Data. It means you could find yourself doing anything from exploring nuclear options for powering space travel, to helping develop exciting new demonstrator engines like our UltraFan. Or using data, technology, and AI to improve a power station's impact on the environment, test marine automation software, or keep our company cyber-safe.

Thanks to a combination of digital learning and on-the-job training, you’ll build a wealth of new skills with the help of industry experts. People who are as invested in your success as you are.

Who we’re looking for:

  • A degree in any STEM subject, or joint honours degrees that combine STEM with subjects like business or economics

  • A great passion for the future of technology

  • A willingness to work flexibly and travel between locations: in most cases, you will be able to achieve the scheme requirements in the location you are recruited to, however, we may need you to be flexible and travel between sites during or for your rotational ‘gigs’

  • Being open-minded, curious and agile in your approach to work and career development

We see hybrid working as a way to balance and flex our time between the office, home, or another remote working place. Everyone is expected on site, on average, three days per week. But specific arrangements will vary from role to role and gig to gig. We encourage and support adaptable working arrangements where we can.

Our behaviours drive us - we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. We’ll expect that of you, too.

What we offer:

  • 33 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays (pro rata)

  • Access to an independent, 24-hour, confidential counselling service

  • Hands-on experience enabling you to develop key professional skills

  • Opportunity to gain insight into a progressive working environment

  • Support to build your network with expert guidance

Our vision is to ensure that the excellence and ingenuity that shaped our history continues into our future. Our multi-year transformation programme aims to turn Rolls-Royce into a high-performing, competitive, resilient and growing company. Join us, and it can be your future vision too.

Rolls-Royce are committed to being a respectful, inclusive, and non-discriminatory workplace where individuality is valued, diverse perspectives fuel innovation, and everyone can thrive.

We reserve the right to close the job advert early dependent on application volumes.

Assessment centres will take place between November – December
