Environmental Projects Assistant - 3 Month Summer Placement

The Water Resources and Environment Department are seeking an Environmental Projects Officer on a 3-month fixed term contract for the months of June, July and August 2026.

Working within the Water Resources and Environment Department to support with field work, data collation and analysis, over the peak holiday period.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Environmental monitoring of river flows, lake levels, rainfall, and groundwater levels within the Affinity Water supply area.
  • Collation and analysis of environmental data from both internal and external sources e.g., Met Office and Environment Agency.

Person Specification

  • Currently working towards completion of an environmental degree.
  • Good organisational and timekeeping skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Full clean driving licence desirable.
