About this programme

Love a challenge as much as you love our products? Get a buzz from finding better ways of doing things? Then you could help take our supply chain and logistics to the next level.

Supply Chain & Logistics is central to our long-term growth strategy – and this programme has been designed to help drive it forward.

From day one, you will play a vital role in delivering products to customers by improving the efficiency of our supply chain and operational teams. You'll learn how products move through our network, how capacity is managed and how operational excellence helps us create the M&S magic customers know and love. The programme itself lasts two years – but it’s really just the start of a long-term career with us.

What you'll be doing

You'll start with a four-month placement in one of our stores, gaining first-hand insight into our customers, colleagues and operations.

From there, you'll begin building expertise through a series of carefully designed experiences and rotations. This will give you an elevated understanding of our Fashion, Home and Beauty business while developing specialist knowledge in our operations.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll achieve across your rotations:

  • Learn how products move from suppliers to customers across our network.

  • Support operational teams in delivering an efficient and reliable service.

  • Explore opportunities to improve processes, performance and customer outcomes.

  • Work with complex systems, data and operational plans to support decision making.

  • Develop the skills to solve problems, improve efficiency and deliver continuous improvement.

What it takes to succeed

We're looking for future leaders who are curious about how our products get to customers, ambitious to improve the way we do things and excited by the opportunity to make a difference.

You will have completed any degree by the time the programme starts in September 2027. However, what matters most is a ‘give it your all’ mindset, a motivation to learn and your passion for delivering exceptional experiences. What matters most is a ‘give it your all’ mindset, your motivation to learn and your passion for delivering exceptional experiences for customers.

You'll thrive if you can:

  • think boldly and challenge the status quo

  • learn quickly and adapt to change

  • demonstrate resilience and perform in a fast-paced environment

  • show initiative and take ownership of opportunities and challenges

  • build strong relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders

  • use insight and data to make informed decisions

  • collaborate effectively whilst confidently sharing your perspective

  • balance customer needs with commercial priorities.

This programme will be a great fit, if you are:

  • an analytical and a naturally curious problem-solver

  • interested in operational excellence and continuous improvement

  • comfortable working with complexity and have attention to detail

  • motivated by finding smarter, more efficient ways of working

  • excited by the challenge of delivering great customer outcomes on a big scale.

Where it could lead

Through this programme, we’re developing the future senior leaders of Fashion, Home and Beauty. The experiences, skills and networks you'll build will amplify your career and help prepare you for big-impact roles across the business.

You'll finish the programme in a permanent role in one of our logistics teams and continue developing towards increasingly senior opportunities. Over time, graduates usually progress into senior management and leadership positions, helping to shape the future direction of M&S.
