The Graduate Recruitment Manager manages the efficient and effective operation of the graduate recruitment working closely with local and central Talent teams, the Training Principal, Talent Leads, and other Business Professionals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the administration of the International Graduate Recruitment Programme. Working closely with the Training Principal, International Attorney Development Lead, and Talent Coordinator(s):
- Manage all internal processes associated with graduate recruitment, including updating recruitment applicant tracking systems as required; screening applications; handling non-standard graduate queries.
- Lead the delivery of the vacation scheme logistics, including coordinating attorney involvement, social event planning, preparing candidate and attorney materials, creating/updating the welcome and practice group overviews, and wash-up presentations, etc.
- Identify and develop key relationships with university career services professionals, individual law societies across target universities, and facilitate V&E and university-specific engagement activities, webinars, workshops, and talks. Coordinate and attend on-campus Law Fairs with V&E Attorneys, track student attendance and provide event summaries.
- Undertake an annual competitor review for graduate recruitment activities and presence, particularly focusing on peer US law firms, and make recommendations for programme improvements.
- Coordinate with the central Talent team on content required for providers such as LawCareers.net, Chambers & Partners, Lex 100, and Legal Cheek.
- Collaborate on identifying key relationships with well-positioned DE&I partners in the graduate recruitment market and facilitate a working relationship with the London Training Principal and Central DE&I team.
- Support the central Marketing team with updates on Talent matters in London for social media, and provide content for Inside V&E and talent updates for office newsletters.
- Maintain continuous review of the content on the V&E graduate recruitment Careers page and coordinate regular updates to the website.
- Lead event administration (e.g., open days, room bookings, catering, set-up, and stationery) and coordinate materials (PowerPoint slides, merchandise, goodie bags, name badges, etc.).
- Work with the Training Principal to ensure a smooth transition of trainees into their Training Contract/Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) and lead project management and communications of requirements and expectations.
- Monitor emerging trends in peer law firms with regards to all aspects of graduate recruitment and propose ideas for change, innovation, and/or greater efficiency on trainee attraction initiatives and/or programme processes.
- Monitor and manage assigned budgets ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
- Supervise and train Coordinator(s), Assistant(s), and Intern(s).
Secondary
- Provide back-up support to the International Lateral Recruitment team, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in the graduate recruitment or early talent function of a law firm or similar environment required; substantial exposure to a graduate entry programme preferred.
Special Knowledge
- Law firm recruiting and graduate recruitment expertise.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software; aptitude to learn and become proficient quickly in a variety of software/systems.
- Experience with recruiting, human resources, or similar systems (such as Oracle, Flo Recruit, ViDesktop, etc.) advantageous.
