The business unit develops and delivers hardware, software, and applications that bring together the very latest wireless and audio technologies to create industry-leading audio voice and music products. You will be joining a successful engineering department whose deliveries can be found in billions of Bluetooth and Voice and Music products worldwide. We offer end-to-end solutions for leading-edge low-power mixed-signal SOCs from feasibility study through to system architecture, digital and analog design, verification and validation, implementation and layout, embedded software design, ATE test, production, and characterization.
About the Role
DV Engineer:
Design Verification of custom V&M including:
- Design Verification sits between RTL Design and product synthesis, layout and manufacture. We use EDA digital simulation engines such as Modelsim, Incisive, and VCS to verify the RTL design virtually before we commit to manufacture. This means we get to analyze the design, write self-checking tests using System Verilog UVM, and to run and debug those tests using waveforms and logfiles. We spend a lot of time talking to the designers, analog team, and the software teams to make sure we cover all of the required functions of the SoC so we get a right-first-time product.
What You Will Learn
- System Verilog, EDA simulation tools, test coding, debug
As part of the role, you will be:
- Learn Qualcomm digital verification methodology and contribute to development on live project.
- Automate the generation of verification checks:
- formal assertions
- functional coverage reporting automation
- MATLAB scripting
- VCFormal updates for AI
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Digital Design, Analog Design, and Firmware/Software Engineers
To Be Effective in This Role, the Intern Should Bring:
- Solid understanding of digital electronics fundamentals
- Exposure to digital design / Functional Verification / Formal
- Good handle on scripting would be bonus.
Skills and Experience We Would Love to See
