Graduate Accountant

Helix Well Ops (UK) Ltd is part of Helix Energy Solutions, a global offshore energy services company specialising in Well Intervention and Robotics Operations. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Accountant to join our finance team in Dyce, Aberdeen, UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries
• Assist with bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support Accounts Payable and intercompany accounting processes
• Assist with group and statutory audits
• Process intercompany invoices and labour recharges
• Prepare cost reports and investigate budget variances
• Support Capex reporting and capital commitment tracking
• Assist with regulatory and financial reporting requirements
• Maintain supplier records and financial data accuracy
• Support project setup and finance administration
• Assist with continuous improvement of accounting processes
• Assist the AP department with statement reconciliation
• Fulfilment of any other tasks required by the Financial Controller to aid development and growth

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subject
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Desire to study towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ICAS)
