The Vacancy

At Fortia Insight (part of the RSK Group), we believe that robust, data-driven insights are key to shaping effective policy, unlocking investment, and delivering positive changes for people, places, and the economy. In a world of complexity and change, we deliver clear, evidence-based analysis to help our clients understand the big picture and act with confidence.

Our team brings together deep knowledge with advanced capabilities in quantitative and qualitative research, economic and financial analysis, data analytics, and strategic thinking, enabling clients to make confident, evidence-led decisions that stand up to scrutiny and deliver real-world impact.

What does our Fortia Insight team do?

We are a team of 45+ economists, evaluation experts, and social researchers working across all areas of public policy. We work predominantly with public sector clients to provide evidence for effective government policy making and public investment decisions. We complete mixed methods research, evaluation (theory-based, experimental and quasi-experimental), and analysis that has an impact on the economy and society more widely. Through the evidence-based recommendations we make, we help improve the effectiveness of public policy, programs, and practice.

We are now recruiting up to 2 roles to join the team in 2026. While we work collaboratively as a team, successful applicants will join one of our 5 subsector teams, based on fit for role and project/client demand. These subsector teams are:

  • Energy and the Environment
  • Economic Development and Regeneration
  • Social Policy
  • Communities and Place
  • Health, Care and Wellbeing

Our Analysts are responsible for:

  • Working on small, medium, and large-sized consultancy projects, with responsibility for tasks such as depth interviewing, managing surveys, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Designing research materials e.g., questionnaires and topic guides.
  • Manipulating data e.g., checking, cross tab, formatting, and charting data.
  • Contributing to deliverables, drafting reports, and producing charts and maps using software on which they will be trained.
  • Assisting with proposal responses to tender specifications issued by clients in a timely and robust manner.
  • Developing client relationships and achieving positive client testimonials for the delivery of high-quality work.
  • Mentoring and coaching other staff as required, seeking to support the team and learning ethos that exists.
  • Your own career development plan, setting out personal objectives, marketing your skills and expertise internally to proposal managers and externally to clients.
  • Achieving individual performance targets (project utilisation and business development contribution).

What can you expect?

As a member of the RSK Group, you’ll be an integral part of our team from the beginning. Our graduate programme offers practical experience with seasoned consultants, on-the-job training, and internal courses to support your development. You’ll also be paired with a buddy and have guidance from mentors and your line manager as you progress in your career.

What We Look For

We seek motivated individuals who demonstrate initiative and welcome challenges. Consulting is a multifaceted and demanding field; therefore, we value applicants who are organised and able to assimilate new concepts rapidly. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. We will provide you with essential training, skills development, and support for a future full of opportunities. You’ll gain exposure to major public policy areas and be recognised and rewarded for your ambition.

When you join our team, you will participate in a combination of on-the-job learning and structured training, and work with a range of clients. The organisation aims to support individual development in an environment designed to help employees reach their potential. Career progression is available within the company.
