Graduate scheme

£50,000 - £55,000

Description

Set yourself up for a spectacular career by getting hands on with an exciting, high-growth technology business.

We make Burp Suite, the world's most widely used software for web security testing. Our cutting-edge software is used by over 75,000 customers in 163 countries to help them secure their websites. Our educational and research output is used by millions of people globally to learn about web security.

We are now looking for versatile graduates to join us on our journey, and experience how different key areas of a fast-growing business come together to deliver highly successful products.

About you

  • The traditional career path of a high flying graduate in the corporate world doesn’t appeal to you. You are someone who is not afraid to challenge the norm and thinks outside the box.
  • You are self-driven and relish learning new skills. You can’t wait to learn from brilliant experts in their field.
  • You are passionate about contributing to the success of a fast growing business that does something good in the world.
  • You believe work should be fun and you want to enjoy spending time with your colleagues. You’re bored by the idea of corporate culture and suits.
  • You have excellent communication skills. You love working collaboratively and are comfortable in bouncing ideas off others.
  • You want variety in your work; you probably haven’t decided yet exactly what area of business you want to work in and are excited by the prospect of gaining experience in different areas.
  • You're excited at the prospect of using technology to build things (processes, systems, capabilities...) that deliver long-term solutions to difficult challenges.
  • You consider yourself highly numerate and literate. You’re great at solving complex problems, and enjoy using data to spot patterns and tell the story behind it. Also, it wouldn't hurt if you actually enjoyed writing your dissertation.
  • You are aware of your strengths and areas for development. You seek feedback and are not afraid to ask for help when you need it to drive professional and personal development.
  • You're ready to make a personal difference, and be involved in all phases of a challenge from ideation right through to delivery.

The Opportunity

Our graduates develop their skills and experience on the job. This is a business generalist role which will give you the opportunity to learn across the non-technical side of our business. You'll gain exposure to key areas of the business by moving across teams during your first two years, giving you the chance to see how a successful tech business operates from different angles. You’ll be able to get stuck in and make a difference from day one. As your areas of interest emerge, we will support you to create a bespoke development plan, with coaching to help you set and hit your development goals.

Depending on your preferences and aptitudes, you will work across a combination of the following areas:

  • Culture: You'll deliver a gold standard of people-related processes & programmes, and help us to continuously improve how we work and nurture our culture.
  • Growth: You’ll gain first hand experience of how we market and sell our products, how different teams support customer success operations from end to end, and how a product led growing business sets its go to market strategy.
  • Data & Finance: You’ll discover how our business uses data to solve problems, make informed decisions, and identify trends to satisfy customer needs.
  • UX/UI Design: You’ll learn how desktop application design enhances our user's experience and find out about the key role of design in the success of a software product.
  • Technical Product Support: You’ll develop deep technical knowledge of our products to help customers deploy and use them in various environments (cloud, on-premise, CI/CD pipelines). (For those with an interest in learning more about the technical side of the business only.)

Please note that this is not a software engineering position; if you are interested in our engineering opportunities, please visit our website.
