Company Details:
Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is looking for Civil Construction Engineers to work within our Delivery group on UK Water Framework Projects. As a Civil Site Engineer, you will be part of our development programme, joining a highly experienced and respected team at Binnies.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake site surveys and leveling to establish benchmarks for accurate setting out.
- Perform setting out duties including pipelines, earthworks, and structures.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications for compliance.
- Collaborate with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor and inspect construction activities to meet quality requirements and project specifications.
- Create and distribute 4-week lookaheads and report to the Section Engineer.
- Assist the project team in creating risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and other documentation in line with Binnies' Health & Safety and Quality processes.
- Maintain accurate records of site tasks, diaries, as-built drawings, and meeting minutes.
Attributes:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Experienced in using surveying equipment (Total Stations / GPS).
- Desire to work towards Incorporated or Chartered membership of ICE, CIWEM, or equivalent institutions.
- Experience with CAD or similar software is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and effective team player.
- Full UK driving license.
- Flexible and able to work in multiple locations.
