Join Grayce as a Graduate Cyber Security & Technology Consultant and begin building practical experience across cyber security, information security and technology operations.

You’ll work full-time with a Grayce client in Hursley, contributing to the systems, services and security processes that support a major organisation.

Depending on the client opportunity and your developing strengths, you could help monitor systems, investigate technical issues, contribute to information security activity or support the infrastructure and applications used across the organisation.

Cyber and information security will be the primary focus of this opportunity. As part of Grayce’s wider Technology pathway, you may also gain exposure to cloud, infrastructure, software testing and IT operations.

Alongside your client experience, Grayce’s Accelerated Development Programme provides structured learning, dedicated coaching and a minimum of six industry-recognised accreditations.

What you could be doing

Your responsibilities may include:

• Monitoring systems and helping identify unusual or potentially concerning activity

• Investigating technical or security issues and documenting your findings

• Supporting cyber and information security processes

• Helping maintain clear security, risk and technical documentation

• Contributing to security operations and incident-management activity

• Supporting privacy and information-management work

• Helping deploy and maintain technology and infrastructure

• Troubleshooting application, system and service issues

• Contributing to software testing and quality assurance

• Working with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Communicating progress, risks and issues clearly

• Learning how technology and security operate within a large organisation

You won’t necessarily undertake every activity listed. Your day-to-day responsibilities will depend on the client team and technology pathway you join.

What will help you succeed

You don’t need to arrive as a cyber security expert.

We’re looking for people who are curious about technology, enjoy solving problems and want to understand how organisations protect their systems and information.

You’ll be a strong match if you can demonstrate:

Your experience could come from your degree, a dissertation, personal projects, online learning, cyber competitions, coding exercises, an internship, part-time work or independent study.

Previous professional cyber security experience isn’t required.

Technical knowledge

Experience with one or more of the following would be useful:

• Cyber or information security principles

• Security monitoring or analysis

• Networking or operating-system concepts

• Python, Java or another programming language

• AWS, Azure or another cloud platform

• Version control and CI/CD concepts

• Software testing

• Jira, Confluence or similar Agile tools

• Technical troubleshooting

This is not a checklist. You’re not expected to have experience with every language, platform or security tool listed.

This opportunity is specifically based in Hursley, Hampshire, within the wider Winchester and Southampton area.

It is a full-time, in-person role. It is not a remote or general nationwide opportunity.
