Pell Frischmann

Graduate Ecologist

Role description

About Pell Frischmann

Pell Frischmann is a specialist advisory and technical consultancy operating across the built and natural environment, helping to shape a better future for the communities in which we work. We offer consultancy services, with access to specialist sister companies and partners, to support both public and private-sector clients. We work across sectors encompassing buildings, infrastructure, and regeneration.

Originally formed in 1926, we have a unique heritage in delivering client-focused solutions that deliver value through our commercial awareness, sustainable aspirations, and innovative approach. Our distinctive future is defined by our ownership; Pell Frischmann is a part of RSBG SE, the patient capital investment arm of RAG-Stiftung. RAG-Stiftung is a foundation with the long-term public purpose to deal with the environmental and social commitments resulting from the closing of Germany’s coal mining industry. RSBG SE’s mission is to generate sustainable funds for the foundation; so, our work directly contributes to the challenge of fighting global pollution and climate change.

About The Role

You will be joining a hardworking and experienced team specialising predominantly in Ecology projects. You will be ensuring that we and our clients are upholding responsible practices for wildlife habitats and the environment across the UK.

The team works collaboratively across the UK, and you would be based in either the Exeter or Luton offices. You will have the opportunity to work on many key projects in the Environment sector.

On joining Pell Frischmann, you will become part of an expert, multidisciplinary team where you will gain training and experience in your chosen specialism.

Additionally, you will be enrolled onto our 2-year Graduate programme. This exciting programme is built around the competence requirements of professional institutions and is a great way to kickstart your career. You will have the opportunity to network with other graduates across the Group and develop key skills such as project management, business, and personal effectiveness.

Right To Work Requirements

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role due to salary thresholds. Applicants must already have the existing, unrestricted right to work in the UK for the full duration of our 2 to 3-year graduate programme. Unfortunately, this means we cannot accept applications where the right to work is time-limited and would expire before the programme ends (July 2029).

Main Duties

  • Learn and develop survey, analysis, and reporting skills in accordance with good practice guidance, ecological legislation, and the Pell Frischmann internal quality systems
  • Supporting Contaminated Land assessment work
  • Climate Change and Carbon work
  • Ecological impact assessment work
  • Be active on projects, ensuring high levels of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility
