Your Role
We are looking for a Graduate Ecologist to be based in Warrington, joining our 2026 Graduate Programme.
Our national success in securing major Water Company frameworks has driven significant growth within our ecology team. We are seeking passionate and talented ecologists to help deliver innovative environmental solutions across the water industry.
Your daily work will be dynamic and varied, encompassing both fieldwork and office-based tasks. You can expect to spend time on site conducting a range of ecological surveys, including habitat classification, protected species assessments, and exploration of both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. You will also contribute to high-quality technical reports such as ecological appraisals, ecological impact assessments, and protected species survey reports.
About You
At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Zoology, Ecology, Geography, or Environmental Sciences, and a keen interest in the water industry, we’d love to receive your application if you are:

Working Pattern
Please note, we ask our graduates to come into the office 4 days per week to ensure you receive sufficient time with your team and the appropriate level of support.
