What You Will Be Doing

  • Support the design of electrical systems, power distribution, and energy solutions for complex infrastructure and building projects.
  • Contribute to the delivery of sustainable, resilient, and compliant electrical designs.
  • Apply engineering principles and innovation to solve real-world challenges in power, lighting, communications, and control systems.
  • Assist with documentation for bids, tenders, and project delivery.
  • Help ensure timely, high-quality delivery within scope and budget.
  • Promote design compliance with international standards, health and safety, and environmental legislation.

Location and Language

The main location for these roles is Madrid; if you are particularly interested in being based in Seville, we are open to that as well. Spanish is not required, as all tasks can be carried out in English. Optional Spanish classes can be provided.

What You Bring

Must-Haves

  • A minimum 2:1 degree (BEng or MEng) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Foundational knowledge of power systems, building services, or control systems.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, MATLAB, or ETAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing.
  • Motivation to work towards Chartered Engineer status (CEng).
  • Understanding of relevant Codes of Practice, European electrical standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Team player with the ability to work cross-functionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Full international mobility and willingness to relocate to Madrid or Seville (or Barcelona).

Desirable

  • Internship or placement experience in the electrical/energy sector, ideally with experience in medium and high voltage for lines and substations, or in Instrumentation and Control.
  • A strong interest in energy transition, smart infrastructure, or digital design tools.
  • Ambition, curiosity, and a proactive approach to learning and development.
