The Opportunity
Komatsu UK Ltd is based on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne and was established in 1985. The Company employs over 450 people who are engaged in the design and manufacture of medium-sized hydraulic excavators.
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated graduate calibre Engineer to join our Graduate Engineer Scheme, where the successful candidate will follow a two-year structured training programme within the Company. To provide a good all-round knowledge of the various Engineering activities, the Graduate programme involves placements of approximately five months' duration in each of the key Engineering Departments including: Design, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain Management. The Komatsu UK Graduate Engineer Scheme is a permanent position, and on successful completion of the Scheme, will lead to an appointment to an Engineer role within the Company.
What we are looking for
Qualifications and Skills
- An honours degree at a minimum level of a 2:2 in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related Science subject.
- Excellent numerical and IT skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
