The Position

The Graduate Engineer will work within the Systems Engineering team to support development of our FDA-regulated medical devices that deliver diagnostic results that are clear and actionable. You will be counted on to contribute to the day-to-day running of instruments, manage software builds on the devices, and support deployment across our cross-functional technical teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute repairs or modifications to instruments in support of reported issues, investigations, or design improvements.
  • Perform detailed analysis, reporting, and record-keeping of defective units within lab spaces, ensuring a working set of instruments for daily use.
  • Conduct product and component testing, including reliability testing.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate new features or designs in support of verification and validation activities.
  • Assist in documentation writing.
  • Work closely with internal teams to provide technical support and implement improvements in cross-collaborative practices.

Skills

Education, Experience, and Demonstrated Skills

  • BEng or MSc in engineering (e.g., Systems, Biomedical, Mechatronics, Electronics) or a related discipline.
  • Some experience in industry.
  • Understanding of microcontrollers and software development/debugging of scripts and programs.
  • Experience using CAD software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn about working within a regulated industry environment.
