Our Graduate Engineering programme is designed to promote personal and professional growth of new engineers into our business through our various technology, procedures, and processes. The programme is a 24-month rotational programme where graduates get the opportunity to work and gain valuable insight into our business. The programme will consist of three 8-month rotations within our Technical Process Development, Equipment Engineering and Quality Assurance departments. In addition to the rotations all graduates will be further developed through a customised training programme and be supported by a mentor and rotational manager. Our Graduate Engineers will also be given the opportunity to apply to become a member of the IMechE.

Job Purpose:

Fulfils varying engineering tasks and assignments and completes rotations, under varying levels of supervision. Develops skills and capabilities that equip the incumbent to move into a specific engineering role in the organisation. Tasks include designing, developing, testing, and implementing equipment and systems that integrate with existing or new products and processes. Working closely with product development, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure that the equipment meets the technical specifications, performance requirements, and quality standards required for a medical device sector.

Key Duties:

  • Support process development
  • Support process concept evaluation
  • Create and modify CAD models in Solidworks
  • Produce prototypes as required
  • Plan testing and produce test matrix
  • Write test protocols and reports
  • Liaise with local suppliers for manufacture of tools and fixtures for testing
  • Create URS, process and equipment specifications
  • Develop awareness of industry regulation and requirements in relation to role within the business
  • Develop and perform validation activities
  • Develop risk assessment and management activities
  • Develop EHS awareness of requirements ensuring process design and day-to-day work activities comply with requirements

Education & Experience

  • BSc/MSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics & Automation, Automation & Control, Computer & Electronic Systems or relevant other Degree.
  • Real world or class project “hands on” experience.
  • Excellent computer skills.
