Graduate scheme
•£30,000
We’re looking for outstanding graduates to join our 3 year development programme, with the drive and passion to make a difference to our business, and who have the potential to become our future leaders.
Finance is a critical function to drive our business forward, and you will work in three different rotations that include business partnering our operating segments including Marketing, Commercial, International, Procurement, Manufacturing and Logistics and more central roles within FP&A and our Shared Service centre. These various roles will span Manchester, St Albans and one of our manufacturing sites. Your first role is likely to be based in Manchester.
The scheme is designed to give you the right foundation and breadth in finance. You will be part of driving business performance, providing insightful information to enable informed, timely and agile decision making across the business and to maintain great financial control across the Group.
Following a 2-week induction programme (which will include time spent at one or more of our factories to understand all about Food Manufacturing), you'll work closely within the finance team you have been assigned on a structured development programme across three, one-year placements.
What will you get from us?
- A great induction! Including a Corporate Induction and time in at least one of our Manufacturing locations
- Funding and study support to gain an industry recognised finance qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA)
- A fantastic opportunity to gain valuable finance experience and exposure in your three placement roles
- During the scheme you will attend various off-job training courses that will support your personal development
- A mentor to give you guidance and support throughout the scheme
- You will receive regular reviews and feedback from your line manager - all to help you learn and develop
- You will work alongside some experienced finance professionals and learn on-the-job all of our processes and ways and working. You will be given early responsibility which will give you exposure to key business activity
- At the end of the scheme, we will continue to support your career progression and development, the pace of which will be dictated by two things – your personal capability and potential and the right opportunity becoming available
What will we expect from you?
- To take ownership for your own learning and show commitment to the scheme and to the role you perform
- Team player – we are all in it together here at Premier Foods
- The drive, self-motivation and commitment to completing exam and study requirements alongside managing the responsibilities of your placement roles
