Start Your Career in Pensions with Real Growth Opportunities

We are looking for Pension Administrators to join our growing team in Leeds or Liverpool. This is a great opportunity for graduates or early career professionals who want to build a long-term career in a stable and developing field.

You will join us at an exciting time. As part of the fast-growing Howden employee benefits business, we are investing heavily in our people, technology, and ways of working. That means clear progression routes, strong support, and the chance to develop specialist skills over time.

What You Will Be Doing

You will learn how to deliver high-quality pension administration while building strong technical knowledge. Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Preparing and checking pension calculations and member communications
  • Learning how to interpret pension scheme rules and apply them in practice
  • Responding to member queries, including more complex cases as your experience grows
  • Keeping member records accurate and up to date
  • Working to agreed deadlines while maintaining high standards
  • Supporting continuous improvement by suggesting better ways of working
  • Following data security and confidentiality procedures
  • Helping with team projects and wider tasks when needed

You will also receive support from experienced colleagues and have the opportunity to mentor others as you progress.

What We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from graduates or those with some office-based experience who are keen to learn and develop.

  • GCSE grade 5 or C in Maths and English
  • A degree or equivalent is welcome but not essential
  • Interest in pensions, finance, or working with data
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well in a team and build positive relationships
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • A willingness to study towards a professional qualification, with full support provided

If you already have some experience in pensions or are working towards industry qualifications, that would be a bonus but not required.

What's in It for You

  • Competitive discretionary annual bonus
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Core benefits for you including private medical cover, life assurance, group income protection, and up to 30 days holiday per year with holiday trading
  • A comprehensive range of voluntary benefits to suit you (and your family) including an electric car leasing scheme, tech scheme, cycle to work scheme, dental cover, healthcare cash plan, health assessments, critical illness cover, Sports Allowance – we pay up to 50% of your gym/sports membership (up to £50 pm), travel insurance, paid volunteering, and a broad range of retailer discounts
