Job Description

This unique 12-month graduate program is based in London and offers a permanent contract. This exceptional opportunity for a recent master's graduate is designed to provide in-depth, practical exposure to various areas of the business within a renowned Private Bank. The program is created as a comprehensive learning experience, enabling you to gain valuable insights into the finance industry and develop essential skills for a successful career in private banking.

The program is structured around two rotations of 6 months – in the CSO (Client Strategy Office) team and Banker's support as Assistant Relationship Manager – after which the candidate will join the bank on a permanent basis.

This program is specifically focused on young graduates holding a master’s degree, with a maximum of 12 months of professional experience since graduation. Upon successful completion, you will have the opportunity to transition into a permanent role within one of the team, continuing your career with the bank and applying the knowledge, networks, and experience gained during the programme in a role aligned to your strengths and interests.

Role Description

The role will have a broad remit:

In the CSO team, the successful candidate will report to the Head of Client Strategy Office and will get exposure to Wealth Management Teams. You will work on:

  • Sales & Performance: Build KPIs/dashboards, track banker metrics, manage pipeline, support budgeting, and prepare senior management materials.
  • Pricing & Strategy: Support on the pricing tool, ensure profitability, and provide insights; partner with Team leaders on client targeting and campaigns.
  • Project Management: Lead commercial initiatives, close audit points, ensure regulatory compliance, develop front-office tools, and track actions vs. the strategic plan.

As part of the ARMs team, the successful candidate will gain exposure to the full client relationship cycle. You will be working with the relationship managers on:

  • Clients: Maintain relationships; be backup for RM; prep/run follow-ups.
  • Execution: Own cash management; execute/settle FX, cash, equities, FI.
  • Onboarding/Compliance: Open accounts end-to-end; deliver KYC/AML and reviews.
  • Credit: Prepare/administer loan and credit requests.
  • Growth: Spot cross-sell opportunities; support RM revenue.
  • Improvement: Streamline processes; keep product/market knowledge current.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Recent graduate (master's degree) in Finance, Business, Marketing, Media and PR, Economics, or Engineering from a highly recognised university.
  • Work Experience: Relevant initial work experience in the finance industry (internship) is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of MS Office tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required.
