Your Role in the Team
- Support senior Quantity Surveyors in delivering commissions across all project stages.
- Assist with cost planning, estimating, and budget management for a variety of construction schemes.
- Prepare tender documentation and help analyze contractor bids under guidance.
- Carry out site visits and help monitor project progress, valuations, and variations.
- Contribute to report preparation and attend client meetings to build confidence and communication skills.
Individual Duties
- Assist with measurement and quantification of materials and works from drawings, specifications, and site visits.
- Gather and review supplier quotations to support cost comparisons and procurement decisions.
- Log and track variations to the contract scope.
- Attend design and coordination meetings to understand how design changes impact cost.
- Assist in preparing order-of-cost estimates and cost plans throughout design stages.
- Support the analysis of tender returns and contribute to tender reports.
Skills and Requirements
- Quantity Surveying graduate (or relevant degree).
- Aspiration and drive to work towards RICS chartership.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
Knowledge Of
- MS 365 and Teams.
- Good overall IT literacy.
