You do not need a technology degree or previous software experience to build a career at Halo. We are looking for graduates who are curious, willing to learn and comfortable taking responsibility early.

About us

Halo is a privately owned software company building service management software used by organisations around the world.

We develop, sell, implement and support our own products in-house. You do not need to understand the industry before you join. You will learn it here.

Halo also does careers differently.

We do not hire experienced people into senior roles. Everyone joins at the start, learns the business from the ground up and progresses from within. Every senior leader at Halo once started in the same position as the people joining today.

We call this Halo Cantera.

How your career starts

Your first few weeks are spent learning Halo, our software and how our customers work. You will start alongside other new joiners and learn directly from people who came through the same route.

Your first role is Support Technician.

You will work directly with customers, investigate problems and build a proper understanding of the product. We start everyone here because that knowledge is useful wherever you go next.

From there, your career can move in different directions. Many graduates progress into Software Consultancy, while others move into different areas of Halo.

There is no graduate rotation or fixed timetable. You progress when you have the knowledge to take on more.

The scheme is office-based because much of that learning happens through the people around you. You can ask questions as they come up, sit alongside experienced colleagues and see how problems are solved in practice.

A bit about you

We are looking for people who:

• are curious about how businesses and technology work

• learn quickly and are happy asking questions

• communicate confidently with different people

• are willing to take ownership as their knowledge grows

• want to build a long-term career rather than follow a fixed graduate rotation

You do not need to know exactly what you want to do long term. You will understand the different roles at Halo before deciding where your strengths fit best.

What we're looking for

• Any degree subject

• A 2:1 degree or above preferred

• A-level grades of BBB or higher preferred

• Unrestricted right to work and remain in the UK

• Able to work full-time from our Ipswich office

We consider applications as a whole, so the preferred academic grades are not automatic cut-offs.
