Who we are
Halo builds service management software used by more than 5,000 organisations across over 100 countries. We develop, sell, implement and support our own products, helping organisations manage everything from IT and customer service to projects and wider business operations.
We’re privately owned and based in Ipswich, but the way we build the company is probably more unusual than the software we build.
Halo does not hire experienced people into senior roles.
Everyone starts at the same level and learns the business from the ground up. Every senior leader at Halo started in the same position as the people joining today.
We call it Halo Cantera. The name comes from the Spanish football model of developing your own players rather than buying them in. We take the same approach to careers.
For graduates, that starts in Support. You work directly with customers and learn the product properly before deciding where your strengths fit best. Many people move into Software Consultancy, while others progress into different areas of Halo. There is no fixed graduate rotation or timetable. You move on when you are ready.
Because everyone around you has come through the same system, most of the learning happens directly from the people doing the job. That is also why the Graduate Scheme is office-based in Ipswich.
You can join from any degree subject and we do not expect previous software experience. The Graduate Scheme is a permanent role with a £35,000 starting salary, with applications and start dates throughout the year.
The application process is deliberately simple: an application, a short call, one face-to-face conversation and a decision. No assessment centre. No AI interview.
