As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment. You will benefit from strong support from both office and technical colleagues, along with significant guidance from senior staff within our open and collaborative culture.
Working within a project team comprising project managers, architects, and engineers, you will help determine how and where utility services are incorporated into developments and how they will meet the challenges of increasing electrical demand to support net-zero strategies and electric vehicle charging, against a backdrop of a constrained national grid.

Your Role
- Obtain and review asset records to identify development risks and constraints, showing where utility infrastructure is located in and around proposed development sites.

- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and follow up with utilities to ensure project milestones are met.
- Undertake load calculations (electricity, gas, clean/foul water) for submission of pre-planning enquiries.
- Review “heat maps” to identify high-level information about available capacity within electricity networks.
- Liaise with utility companies to determine strategies for bringing power, gas, water, and telecommunications into a development.
- Assist in producing detailed, accurate technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
