Graduate UX Designer
Graduate scheme
Job Description
Looking to kick start your design career? Want to own the design of global products and sites? See your designs through to launch and beyond? Make a real difference to hundreds of thousands of users?
We're looking for Graduate UX Designers to join the team. In this two-year programme, you’ll join a team of talented, innovative, fresh-thinking designers - part of a rich global community of Accessibility Specialists, Content Designers, User Researchers, analysts, and developers.
You’ll take an active role in the interaction design of our products, with the freedom to do the best work of your career.
Key Responsibilities
Your two years will look something like this…
- Set up your new MacBook Pro.
- Discover the breadth and depth of the products and sites you’ll design for - in the cloud, desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Join us at the cutting edge of discovering what AI can do for our users, and for us as designers.
- Immerse yourself in our Design System, define improvements, and get them published.
- Iteratively design end-to-end experience for big-ticket product features.
- Get to know our customers and users by name - meet entrepreneurs and some incredible small businesses.
- Engage with talented developers to make your designs reality, and collaborate on our Development Framework, Carbon.
- Continue your self-development – with dedicated learning days, and funding for professional development as part of our Ignite Graduate Programme.
- Make a difference to the communities we live and work in with 5 volunteer days every year.
- Enjoy benefits like conditional bonus, adaptable holiday allowances, a great pension, and a healthcare cash plan.
We’re interested in talented interaction designers who deliver effective solutions, and delightful experiences. If you’re ambitious enough to deliver the best in the market, but keen to truly understand and empathise with the real-life needs of users, step this way!
Qualifications Required
To be eligible for this role, you'll need to be a Graduate, ideally in a relevant discipline. Whilst we’re open to any degree discipline, you’ll need to demonstrate user-centricity, ideally with a great balance of design thinking, business orientation, and a data-informed mindset. - Resilient and determined, able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- An effective communicator, able to collaborate with people from across the world.
