As an Intern within North Highland’s Academy, you’ll be able to add value in a variety of different ways. The Academy is a team of self-starters who enjoy learning on-the-job and working through ambiguity. You will work across multiple capabilities and industries, integrating with our clients on-site as part of small, intimate teams.
You Will
- Develop core consulting skills through experience, training and self-development.
- Develop written client deliverables to a high standard.
- Build strong peer-level relationships with clients and gain valuable client exposure.
- Facilitate client workshops and meetings, train client staff, and support client presentations.
- Play a critical role in contributing to the delivery of client engagements.
- Assist in writing proposals and business development efforts where required.
- Get involved in internal North Highland initiatives.
Ideally, We'd Like
- An excellent academic record
- Penultimate-year UK university students available for 12 months. Please note that this role is to start in July 2026 and finish in June 2027.
- A genuine interest in consulting, business and technology, especially: Project Coordination/Management, Business Analytics, Change Management, Technology Implementation, Business Strategy, Customer Experience.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ingenuity needed to quickly activate on projects across numerous industry sectors and client business models.
- Creative thinking and the ability to seek innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems.
- Strong time-management, planning, communication, and organisational skills.
- A proven ability to follow a structured approach to analysing and synthesising complex problems into simple components.
- Resiliency and flexibility in a fast-paced, project-based consulting environment.
- A high level of confidence (but not arrogance), and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Flexibility to travel will be required and will be project-dependent.
