About the job:
Join the BBVA Engineering team in the heart of London’s financial district. This internship offers a unique vantage point into how technology operates within a global Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) environment. You will support daily coordination with development teams, manage IT supplier inventories, and play a key role in the risk admission process for local initiatives across the UK and Continental Europe.
What You Will Do
Operational Support:
- Coordinate with development teams to implement control frameworks and manage IT supplier data.
Risk Admission:
- Participate in ensuring that all local technical initiatives comply with corporate controls and regulatory standards.
Analytical Problem Solving:
- Break down complex technical issues and propose logical, scalable solutions.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders in an international setting.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: A degree (completed or in final year) in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or Information Systems.
- Languages: Full professional proficiency (C1 level) in both English and Spanish is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Mindset: Proactive, quick to learn, and eager to understand banking infrastructure and the impact of the regulatory landscape.
