About the business area

Our Issuer Services teams support and enhance the corporate strategies of leading global companies, financial institutions and capital market investors, providing tailored corporate trust and loan agency solutions.

Who you are

We're looking for people who love building connections, communicate well and take initiative. You don't need to know everything about banking – bring your curiosity and drive, and we'll help with the rest.

You could be a great fit if you’re:

  • A natural collaborator: You enjoy working with people from different teams, backgrounds and levels.

  • An effective communicator: You express yourself clearly and concisely, and can tailor your message to different audiences.

  • Ownership mindset: You take pride in your work, paying attention to the details and seeing things through to a high standard.

  • Eager to learn: You’re curious about banking and excited to develop your knowledge from day one.

  • A people person: You enjoy building relationships and learning from those around you.

  • Self-motivated and driven: You stay organised, use your initiative, and are always thinking one step ahead.

  • Trustworthy: You understand the importance of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information.

What you’ll do

You’ll join a dedicated Issuer Services team focused on either business development or client services. You'll play a real part in helping clients navigate complex transactions while delivering an exceptional service experience.

Here’s a taste of what you could get involved in:

  • Help HSBC stay compliant: You’ll support our teams in keeping up with rules and regulations across countries.

  • Present to clients: Turn data into insights and help create presentations that clearly show how we’re adding value.

  • Be a team player: From logistics to admin and marketing, you’ll support senior colleagues on a wide range of tasks.

  • Lead on research: You’ll keep the team updated by compiling research on market trends, deals and news.

  • Get to know our clients: Sit in on meetings and events to learn how we build and manage long-term relationships.

What you’ll learn

  • Exposure to colleagues across Issuer Services at all levels, and across internal teams like Product, Marketing, Legal and Regulatory Compliance.

  • Interaction with external stakeholders including Investment Banks, Corporates, Sponsors, Issuers, Lenders, Law Firms and intermediaries.

  • The importance of integrity and discretion in sensitive, high-stakes environments like restructurings.

  • Training from day one: You’ll take part in a structured first week of technical and behavioural learning, designed to set you up for success.

Eligibility criteria

  • Available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing June 2026

  • Expected to graduate in 2027

  • Obtained, or expected to achieve, a minimum of a 2:1 Degree classification or higher or overseas equivalent

  • Fluent in English
