Programme information
You will join as a trainee as part of the Investment20/20 programme. While we can’t guarantee a permanent position at the end of the 12-month contract, it is our intention to make an offer to extend a further year, but this is up to how well you perform. 75% of Investment20/20 trainees are offered permanent positions.
Our traineeship will introduce you to investment management and you will gain industry knowledge, experience and develop relationships enabling you to progress your career and provide you with skills to secure a permanent role. We will support you in achieving a professional qualification if this is something you are interested in doing. As part of the Investment20/20 programme, you will have opportunities to meet and network with over 300 trainees across the industry and participate in socials and insight events.
Our trainee programme is a fixed term one-year contract. You will receive 25 days annual leave. All roles are based in London.
Programme Summary
This is a programme intended to give you a breadth of knowledge and experience within the business to enable you to make informed decisions about where you would like to develop your career.
Responsibilities include
This role will be providing application support to Amundi UK staff on our in-house developed investment management platform. This will include:

Providing first-line application support to end users
-
Working in close proximity to investment teams to understand their needs and provide effective day-to-day support
-
Providing user training and guidance on system functionality
-
Creating SQL reports and data extracts to support operational and investment activities
-
Drafting specifications for new features, enhancements and application corrections
-
Supporting the testing and implementation of fixes, changes and improvements to the applications
-
Contributing to the modernisation of tools and processes used by the team
-
Developing smart, practical tools to adapt to specific business situations and improve efficiency.
Skills/Experience:

Demonstrable enthusiasm, curiosity and interest in Investment Management
-
High SQL and Python (or other scripting languages) skills for data analysis and automation
-
Experience of identifying opportunities to modernise tools and improve processes
-
Ability to work closely with investment teams and translate business needs into practical support and system improvements
-
Experience in drafting clear specifications for new features, fixes and enhancements
-
Great verbal and written communication skills
-
Highly organised with excellent multitasking abilities
-
Excellent time management skills and a great team-player attitude
-
Proactive, adaptable and comfortable taking ownership and responsibility
-
Detail-oriented with high organisational skills
-
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Excellent written and spoken English
Additional
At all times the role holder will adhere to FCA and SMCR rules as well as the Company’s policies and procedures. Where appropriate, the role holder will seek guidance from Head of Compliance, Senior Management or HR.
