Your opportunity (full training provided)

We are looking for a candidate to join our established Junior RFP team for a six-month period, covering for a maternity leave. If successful in this placement, you would have the possibility to join the 18-month Junior RFP Writer programme.

You will be focusing on gaining first-hand experience in the RFP (Request for Proposal) team and discovering what your future could be like with us through induction, on the job learning, skills training and networking opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the inner workings of the asset management industry beyond the RFP function. Many senior people in the industry started their careers in RFP, and a strong performance in this space will position you favorably to progress your career in this industry by the end of the assignment.

  • The RFP Team play a key role in asset generation (winning new business) and client retention by developing compelling proposals and client due diligence materials.

  • In this role, you will gain deep insight into all aspects of Janus Henderson by working with the database of RFP answers and with individual more senior writers to understand the scope of work the team undertakes, and to assist the writers in their work.

  • Key assignments would include:

  • Working with the Knowledge Management Team and others to streamline and prepare content, in order to feed automated solutions.

  • Contribute to projects aiming to streamline and find efficiencies in the overall RFP process, including full engagement with our new Gen AI RFP tool.

  • Fulfil recurring DDQ (due diligence questionnaires) and RFIs (requests for information) as required, working with stakeholders across the business, at varying levels of seniority.

  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Must-have skills

  • A keen interest in financial markets, asset management and investing generally, and willingness to rapidly progress this knowledge set

  • Great attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal / written communication skills with the ability to confidently engage across all levels of the organization, whilst being able to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team.

  • Must thrive in a dynamic, progressive culture, and have the ability to work to well-defined deadlines

  • Positive, can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn as you go

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft office Suite and Teams

  • Great writing and proofreading skills, and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure data and content is accurate, relevant and consistent
