To assist in developing Chambers overall marketing and business development plans to help grow Members’ practices and contribute to a cohesive marketing strategy. This role offers scope for progression as Chambers’ marketing activities continue to develop.

Event Organisation

  • Assist with the organising of client events (conferences, seminars, webinars, parties and drinks receptions), internal events and in-house training occasionally liaising with third parties.
  • Support the practice management team with co-ordinating with members, staff and clients in relation to internal and external events. 
  • Contribute ideas to ensure effective event branding and promotion.
  • Prepare delegate lists, badges and marketing materials for events.
  • Ability to attend Chambers’ core marketing events.
  • Assist barristers with preparing seminar handouts and PowerPoint presentationsensuring brand consistency.
  • Add and amend contact details on the client database, when required ensuring mailing lists are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with event promotion via Lex marketing campaigns and social media

Marketing Administration

  • Assist with producing marketing internal communications.
  • Produce minutes for marketing-related meetings.
  • Ensure CRM is accurate and updated
  • Assist practice management team with research for BD initiatives 
  • Ensure that member and staff profiles and images are updated when necessaryDirectory Submissions
  • Assist with gathering information and compiling submissions for legal directories and awards
  • Schedule interviews with legal researchers and reporters 

Digital and Design

  • Liaise with barristers on website posts (news/cases/articles etc) 
  • Upload content to the website and social media 
  • Assist with producing copy for Chambers’ brochures 
  • Provide feedback and ideas on marketing material designs 
  • Liaise with designers and printers
  • Keep track of branded merchandise and re-order as necessary

General administration

  • Undertake such other duties as may be required by the Head Clerk or COO.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Demonstrable interest in pursuing a career in marketing and/or events 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Great proof-reading skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High administrative and organisational skills
  • Confidence/experience in learning new software skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise workload across a number of different projects and demands, in a busy environment

Desirable

  • Some experience in either a marketing or events role 
  • Experience producing copy for website and print
