The Opportunity
You will be part of Teva’s Combination Products and Devices (CPD) Research and Development (R&D) team, based in Abbots Park, Runcorn. CPD develops needle-based injection devices for delivery of Teva’s sterile liquid medications. Our broad portfolio of both generic and specialty medicines covers a variety of device technologies, Pre-Filled Syringes (PFS), pen injectors and autoinjectors, for the treatment of a wide range of diseases, including anaphylaxis, migraine and diabetes.
This is a unique chance to immerse yourself in the field of medical device and combination product development. You will support the research, design, and development of medical needle-based injection devices, all while learning about the regulations, guidelines, and standards relevant to this industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support device engineering activities at various stages of development, from research through design, verification, and validation, and into life-cycle management.
- Follow processes and procedures according to regulations and best practice.
- Support design and process safety risk management activities.
- Collaborate internally within cross-functional departments.
- Support device related design history file activities.
- Support and conduct device testing and produce engineering technical reports.
Who We Are Looking For
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering, Scientific, or other STEM program
- Solid first principals understanding of medical device engineering requirements.
- A great personal interest in medical devices, engineering and technical challenges.
- Capable of operating independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 3D spatial awareness and visualization of concepts, mechanisms, and assemblies.
- Exhibit ability in 3D modelling, mathematical modelling and statistical analysis.
