Mobile/Application Security Engineer

This is an office (Basingstoke, UK) based position , within a team who is friendly, supportive, has a growth mindset and participate in a number of social activities to maintain work-life balance. In this position, you will be responsible for testing and evaluating the security of mobile applications, SDKs and IoT products . Evaluation tasks include review of design documents and source code, vulnerability analysis and penetration testing. The primary objective of the testing and evaluation is to analyze the security specific strength and weaknesses of these systems.

Responsibilities:

• Vulnerability analysis and Penetration Testing of payment applications and SDKs
• Reverse engineering on Mobile Applications.
• Assessment techniques for validating code against security requirements.
• Writing technical reports.
• Technical knowledge by attending training workshops, reading professional publications, participating in technical working groups and cross-departmental task forces.
• Share knowledge and expertise through internal and external trainings.

Qualifications:

• University Degree (e.g. Bachelor or Masters) in Computer Science or similar.
• Good Understanding of mobile platform environment, e.g. Android (AOSP), iOS and their architectures e.g., ARM assembly (32 and 63 bits)
• Basic Understanding of coding languages used in Mobile platform, such as Java, Swift, Obj-C, Kotlin, C/C++
• Basic understanding of common networking and communication protocols such as HTTPS, TCP/IP, and HTTP
• Knowledge of reverse engineering software and the use of static and dynamic analysis tools
• Basic Understanding of microcontroller architecture, cryptography (such as AES, RSA) and key management (key generation, key loading)
