The Generating Genius & National Grid Pathways to Progress Get Hired Programme is open for applications.
This talent development pathway is run by UK registered talent development and education charity, Generating Genius and National Grid. Our Get Hired programme supports students with step-by-step application preparation in-person and virtual workshops. These help students secure graduate roles at National Grid and other top companies.
Key dates to be aware of for the programme:

Acing Job Applications Workshop, September 8th, Virtual

Mock assessment centre - September 10th - In person, National Grid House, Warwick

Application planning & Commercial awareness workshop, September 17th, Virtual
-
Mock Interviews workshop, September 18th, Virtual

Programme Gradation, September 30th, Virtual
All travel expenses and food for the in-person days will be provided.
Who is it for?
We have four streams for our Get Hired programme - engineering, finance, STEM Project Management and Consents (Consents is about ensuring project consents in a business are delivered economically and in accordance with current legislation, regulations, and guidance. For those in urban planning, sustainability, human geography and similar disciplines).
Applicants for all of the streams must meet the below criteria, but there will also be specific criteria around your degree for each particular stream - this will be outlined on the application form for that stream.

Graduating in 2027

Interested in graduate roles at National Grid

Achieved average of BBB at A-level or equivalent
-
Attended a non-fee paying secondary school in the UK

This opportunity is not open to mature students.

Applicants must also meet our social mobility criteria below:
Household income of £45,000 or below and your parent/s are in either intermediate or working class occupations, or are unemployed
OR
You are a Care Leaver
