The Opportunity

This 12-month placement offers a starting salary of £24,500 and the chance to work on site at #Torness Power Station.

You’ll be part of a team that plays a vital role in ensuring safe reactor operations and compliance with nuclear safety cases. You’ll get stuck into real-world challenges, supported by experts who’ll help you grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

During your Nuclear Safety Group Industrial Placement, you’ll support the daily operations of our Nuclear Safety Team. Past students have contributed to safety case reviews, supported compliance assessments, and worked on initiatives that ensure safe and reliable generation.

You’ll be immersed in the world of nuclear safety, learning from experts and applying your skills to meaningful challenges. This placement offers a rich learning experience and a chance to make a real impact in a critical area of the energy industry.

Your Work Location

You’ll be based on site at our #Torness Power Station in Scotland (EH42), where you’ll work on site and connect with colleagues across the business.

Who You Are

To be eligible for this scheme, you need to be on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant field (maths, physics, or other science/engineering disciplines).
