‘’The Nuclear Supply Chain Graduate programme has provided the opportunity to explore multiple areas of Supply Chain, from Governance to Contract Management and Procurement. This has allowed me to understand the aspects of work I enjoy, and the career route I wish to pursue. The strong learning and development culture of EDF created the perfect environment to develop both my hard and soft skills, enabling me to gain responsibility and add real value to my teams, whilst building great relationships – all while genuinely enjoying the journey. This programme allowed me to acquire the skill set required for a full-time role as a Commercial Manager on HPC, where I will continue my career progression’’ - George, Nuclear Supply Chain Graduate.

The Opportunity

Alongside earning a salary of £35,000 per annum, you’ll work towards gaining a CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply, fully funded by EDF. This industry-recognised qualification will equip you with the tools and insight to apply best practice in Procurement and Supply from day one.

This two-year programme offers rotations across our Nuclear New Build site (Hinkley Point C), as well as our operating stations and central Supply Chain Office based at Gloucester. You’ll gain exposure to procurement, contract management, forecasting, supplier development and strategic business challenges. You’ll be supported by mentors and industry experts as you build your confidence and technical capabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Supply Chain Graduate at EDF, you’ll gain hands-on experience, develop technical and professional skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that support the UK’s journey to net zero.

  • Support procurement and contract administration across nuclear sites

  • Forecast contract costs and manage supplier relationships

  • Contribute to strategic sourcing and supply chain transformation

  • Rotate across business units to gain wider commercial insight

  • Work on live projects that deliver tangible benefits to EDF

Your Work Location

You’ll be based at one of our offices in Gloucester, Bristol or Bridgwater, spending up to 6 months of the programme supporting another business unit (Nuclear Operations or HPC) in order to expand your knowledge and experience of the Nuclear Industry.

Who You Are

To be eligible for this EDF graduate programme, you need to have achieved, or be expecting to achieve, a bachelor’s or master’s degree (2:2 or higher) in disciplines such as supply chain and logistics, business management, economics, mathematics, finance or geography. Other degrees may be considered for great candidates.

You’ll need a professional outlook, commercial awareness, and good interpersonal and analytical skills. A full UK driving licence is required due to potential operational shift patterns.

At EDF we work hard to maintain a culture where Everyone’s Welcome. We encourage and embrace diversity and how it can improve our experience and performance at work. It is nevertheless a requirement that those who join us have the right to work in the UK by the time of your employment. Sponsorship may be a possibility.
