People & Culture Graduate
Graduate scheme
•£25,000 - £30,000
About Us
native has been building for 10 years, but we’re still very much a startup: fast-moving, ambitious, and building with intent. We’re creating the infrastructure that connects students, Students’ Unions, universities, and advertisers through a managed marketplace.
Our goal is to deliver for students by increasing student engagement while enabling Students’ Unions to secure sustainable funding. For advertisers, we offer meaningful, measurable routes to student audiences. The more aligned these incentives are, the more defensible and scalable our business becomes.
The People & Culture Team
Our people are our magic and that’s where you come in. You’ll support the heartbeat of native—the humans who make it all happen. Working closely with the People & Culture team, you’ll help shape how we hire, support, celebrate, and grow our people—with creativity, empathy, and a deep respect for vibes and structure.
This is a chance to learn the ropes of modern HR (we prefer “People & Culture,” thanks), get stuck into real projects, and help build a workplace that actually walks the talk. If you care about people, culture, and making things better, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting day-to-day People & Culture operations (onboarding, offboarding, HR admin—done the native way)
- Helping roll out initiatives across wellbeing, values, learning, and team development
- Getting hands-on with culture projects, from surveys to feedback loops to employee rituals
- Assisting with recruitment processes and helping build an inclusive candidate experience
- Keeping internal systems organised and up to date (Confluence, HR tools, and more)
- Learning loads—about yourself, about people, and about what makes a workplace tick
What We’re Looking For
- A recent or soon-to-be graduate curious about people, work, and culture
- High emotional intelligence, strong listening skills, and an inclusive mindset
- Organised, detail-oriented, and quietly obsessed with doing things well
- Great written and verbal communication (you don’t need to be loud, but you do need to care)
- No specific degree required—we welcome grads from all academic backgrounds
- Bonus: any exposure to HR, psychology, events, admin, or people-facing roles (we’ll teach you the rest)
What You’ll Get
- A paid six-month grad scheme with real mentorship and learning opportunities (potential to extend)
- A hybrid working set-up (typically 3 days in our London office)
- A front-row seat to People & Culture at a fast-paced, values-led startup
- Exposure to leadership and cross-functional teams—your ideas will be heard
- The chance to help shape a genuinely inclusive, fun, and forward-thinking workplace
Benefits
- Pension contributions of 5%
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, your birthday off, and a Christmas shutdown
- Your choice of a Mac or Windows laptop
- Dog-friendly office
- Health and wellbeing budget
- Free office lunches on Wednesdays
- Season Ticket Loan scheme
- Paid maternity, paternity, adoption, or shared parental leave
