About us

Performology is changing the way the retail world understands performance. We blend behavioural science, leadership psychology, cultural analytics and sharp commercial insight to help FTSE-level organisations transform how their people think, lead and perform.

We are an early-stage, fast-growing business working with major enterprise clients. Our work is intellectually rigorous, commercially grounded, and delivered to a high standard.

The Role

We call all our client-facing roles ‘Performologists’.

A Performologist brings their unique strengths, perspective and craft — and uses them to elevate everyone around them. There’s no hierarchy in brilliance: we succeed because we think together, build together and hold ourselves to a high standard. Your individuality matters, and the work becomes extraordinary when we combine it. Being a Performologist isn’t a rank, it’s a mindset. We collaborate deeply, challenge with care, and commit to exceptional quality for our clients and for each other.

We are seeking a bright psychology graduate (Master’s preferred) who wants exposure to high-level client work early in their career. You will support senior consultants across client engagements, research, and internal development.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Has strong academic foundations in psychology
  • Is intellectually sharp and analytically confident
  • Takes pride in producing high-quality work
  • Is happy to “muck in” — preparing decks, organising logistics, and supporting delivery
  • Wants to grow into a more senior consulting role over time

London-based hybrid role (flexibility within a framework).

Client Delivery Support

  • Preparing polished, client-ready PowerPoint decks
  • Supporting meeting preparation, logistics, and follow-up
  • Coordinating diaries and engagement materials
  • Ensuring materials are clear, structured, and accurate

Analysis & Insight

  • Supporting qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Synthesising findings into clear narratives
  • Translating psychological insight into commercial relevance

Research & Business Support

  • Conducting desk research
  • Supporting proposals and thought leadership
  • Maintaining organised project documentation
  • Contributing flexibly in a small, fast-moving team

This role involves hands-on support work. Attention to detail and pride in craft are essential.

What Success Looks Like

  • Client materials are consistently clear, polished, and ready for senior stakeholders
  • Consultants rely on you to manage preparation and follow-up with minimal supervision
  • Engagements run smoothly due to strong organisation and anticipation of needs
  • Analysis outputs are accurate, structured, and insight-led
  • You are trusted for your judgement, discretion, and attention to detail

Who You Are

Skills and Capabilities

Essential

  • Degree in Psychology (Master’s strongly preferred)
  • Strong academic track record (high classification)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel capability
  • High attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with data and structured analysis
  • Organised and proactive

Personal Attributes

  • Intellectually curious and quick to learn
  • Calm and professional under pressure
  • Happy to take responsibility early
  • Energised by building something new
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and pace
  • Willing to do the foundational work that makes excellent client delivery possible

Candidates with a strong undergraduate degree (high classification from a top institution) and high-quality work experience will also be considered.

Experience in consulting, research, professional services, or a similarly demanding environment is an advantage.

Why Performology?

Because you won’t just be an Analyst — you’ll be a Performologist - a builder of something genuinely new, making a difference everyday.

You'll get to:

  • Work across the UK’s most exciting retail transformation programmes
  • Influence the foundations of a fast-scaling consultancy
  • See your work turn into real, measurable impact on performance

You'll fit in if you love...

  • Solving messy human problems
  • Creating clarity out of noise
  • Working in a business that is small, fast, and growing
  • Designing things from scratch
  • Being part of a team inventing the future of high-performance culture

This is not for you if...

  • You prefer calm predictability over pace and possibility
  • You want a rulebook, not a blank page
  • Building new things feels draining instead of energising
  • Complexity makes you shut down rather than lean in
  • You’d rather stay comfortable than stretch your thinking

This is the place for people who want their work to matter.

Core Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Performance-based bonus
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday day off
  • Flexible working: hybrid / freedom within a framework (London HQ)
