We are looking for an enthusiastic Placement Position Test Cell Operations to join our team Test Cell Operations Business and Pre-test Team in Darlington,UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2026.

External Qualifications and Competencies

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Working towards a BEng or MEng Degree in a technical space (Mechanical Engineering, Motorsports Engineering Etc.)

• Confident in working in both as an individual and in team environments

• Assured communicator with confidence in interacting across various levels of management

• Self Driven with a keen key for eye for quality and setting high standards

• Experience Working in / leading Teams either through education or work

• A basic knowledge of diesel engine fundamentals and practical hands on experience (in this field or another)

• Knowledge of Power BI, also working with support of AI is a plus.

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Supporting The Test Cell Operations Manager and Pre-test Team Leader with day-to-day tasks and ongoing projects

• Investigating and solving issues in order for the department to meet its right first time and Productivity Targets
