We are looking for an enthusiastic Customer Order Management Analyst student to join our team specializing in Supply Chain for our Customer Services business unit in Sandwich, Kent. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 30th June 2025.
External Qualifications and Competencies
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Working under the guidance of the Customer Service Manager, the student will be involved with all aspects of New Customer creations
- Prepare detailed Customer/Distributor Measures for review on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Continuous collation of data attributed to the business using Oracle/Excel/Power Bi and providing reports to worldwide customers
- Researching various attributes of the customer order life cycle using Oracle/Excel and liaising with various global plants
- Encouraged to get involved with all other departments at the plant to gain good knowledge and understanding of a global multinational organization
- Collaborating with internal teams to understand customer orders and requisitions, collating received orders in a timely manner and supporting with the distribution of completed orders
Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- We are looking for a wide range of applicants studying towards a bachelor’s degree from across all business / business analyses or other related subjects
- Computer literacy - proficient knowledge of Windows, in particular Microsoft and ability to learn new software packages
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, communication skills (verbal and written), time management and prioritisation skills, proactive attitude
- Has experience in, and can demonstrate, relevant examples of Cummins core values e.g. voluntary work, community involvement activities, working with disadvantaged groups, charity related support, delivering superior results, teamwork, competencies and outside education experiences
