Programme information

You will join as a trainee as part of the Investment20/20 programme. During the programme you will have access to relevant training. As part of the Investment20/20 programme, you will have opportunities to meet and network with other trainees from across the industry and participate in socials and insight events.

Our trainee programme is a fixed term one year contract paying £26,500 plus benefits. You will receive 27 days annual leave. This role is based in our Edinburgh office. It is office based with some flexibility.

The purpose of the role

The Portfolio Manager Assistant will gain first hand experience of the Liontrust Sustainable Investment department assisting with providing high quality administrative support to the Fixed Income team.

The successful candidate will develop a strong foundation in understanding the role of a Portfolio Manager and supporting with data and reporting for the team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to the team, producing and circulating reports including:
  • Fixed Income MI (Management Information) Reports, Attribution, Duration, Risk Analysis and Trade Reports.
  • Sustainable Future Fund Flows to the SF team –
  • Sustainability reports
  • Provide support in client reporting (data packs, commentary and trade analysis).
  • Produce data packs for Fixed Income presentation packs and sustainability impact reporting.
  • Be the main point of contact for the sales and marketing team.
  • Responsibility for providing input and co-ordinating RFPs (Request for Proposals) for Fixed Income team
  • Organise, attend and take minutes at meetings.
  • Over time, be trained to assist the team with sustainable research analysis
