Senior Buying Assistant / Graduate - Appliances

Join our dynamic Appliances Direct team at our Huddersfield head office. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Buyers and Assistant Buyers, providing invaluable support through a variety of reporting and administrative tasks. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support the buyers with all administrative tasks.
• Keep up to date with product trends and promotional activity using benchmarking and competitor reviews.
• Know your product range and spot gaps against your biggest competition.
• Consistently review pricing and advise the buyers and suppliers on opportunities to improve competitiveness.
• Set up new products and ensure online content is up to date and easy for customers to use.
• Review sales weekly and support the buyer with data analysis.
• Attend supplier and internal meetings; take meeting minutes and follow-up notes when needed.
• Keep range plans and system data up to date.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Great communication and organisation skills.
• Commercial mindset with curiosity and strong analytical skills.
• Positive attitude and resilience in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
• Previous experience as a Buyer’s Assistant is a bonus, but not essential.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously while supporting the wider team.
