The Projects Management Office resources, plans and governs projects for Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock Customer Services in the UK. These projects include modification and upgrades, overhauls, bid support, business transformations and incident repairs. The PMO also have a specialised Service Excellence team who provide lean and efficient operating frameworks to the railway depots to ensure value is embedded and maintained in all processes and procedures across the business.
Siemens Mobility Ltd help to solve the problems of increasing traffic by working with railway operators to improve the capacity, punctuality and security of their systems and to ensure that the carbon footprint produced by transportation is kept to a minimum. As part of our Mobility division, you will be part of a team helping to design solutions and systems which have a real impact on the real world.

- Evaluate the performance of existing processes, using appropriate structured techniques to drive performance improvement.
- Promote positive change within the business by facilitating CI/lean (Kaizen) events, to ensure the production teams operate in the most efficient manner.
- Embed key ‘Lean’ stable foundations into the teams - such as Standardised work, Visual management and controls, 5S, Just-in-Time, JIDOKA
- Conducting process mapping and value stream mapping activities to identify inefficiencies and implement improvement activities
- Design, specify and implement new processes alongside the production teams to deliver technology, innovations and other improvements with the aim of maximising profitability and business growth through Continuous Improvement.
Essential Skills and Attributes
We are seeking innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following:
- Achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a project management or business-related degree
- Logical thinking, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
- Ability to work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
- Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
