Due to continued growth, we are looking to integrate a Graduate Structural Engineer to support our growing Structural Engineering Teams in our fabulous new Head Quarters based in Banbridge. This placement offers an amazing opportunity for a candidate who wants to gain experience with a progressive and dynamic company.

Job Description

The role will require the candidate to work within a large multidisciplinary design team to aid in the successful delivery of prefabricated off site solutions throughout a variety of projects across the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will work alongside the Senior Structural Engineer to complete structural design in accordance with project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load assessments for the proposed prefabricated solutions to allow for line and point load reports to be issued to support further detailed analysis.
  • Preparation of detailed design drawings to allow for information to pass between design teams.
  • Preparation of structural reports using a number of different design software, to include Masterseries, Unistrut Designer, FiXperience and AutoCAD.
  • Aid in the design of prefabricated steel portal frame structures using Master series software.
  • Review BIM drawing and assess the accuracy in accordance with Structural design intent.
  • Attend project design meetings when required and prepare report on findings.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Criteria

  • Training within a Structural Engineering Related Degree and aspiring to work as a Structural Design Engineer.
  • An effective communicator who can build rapport with clients, design team partners, sub-contractors and manufacturers.
  • Must be pragmatic with keen attention to detail.
  • Computer literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Excel & Outlook.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous Experience with Structural design software such as AutoCAD, Master series.
  • Familiar with both Eurocode and British Standards.
