This is a hands-on role. You’ll be the first point of contact for your team, making sure the people we support receive safe, person-centred care, and that our homes meet the standards expected by CQC, local authorities and NHS commissioners. Make sure support is delivered in line with each person’s support plan, risk assessments and preferences
-
Manage staff rotas and cover so every home is safely staffed
-
Carry out regular supervisions, spot checks and team meetings
-
Check that care records, medication records and incident reports are accurate and completed on time
-
Act as first point of contact for families, professionals and commissioners
-
Respond to incidents and safeguarding concerns, escalating to management where needed
-
Support the induction and training of new staff
What we’re looking for
Essential:
-
A degree in Health & Social Care or a related subject (final-year students due to graduate in 2027 are welcome to apply)
-
Experience in a care or support setting, paid or through placements
-
A good understanding of safeguarding, person-centred practice and the Care Act 2014
-
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills, with attention to detail
-
Confidence communicating with staff, families and professionals
-
The right to work in the UK for full-time hours
-
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable:
-
Experience supervising or mentoring others
-
Experience with digital care records or rota systems
What we offer
-
Salary of £26,000 to £28,000 per year
-
28 days’ annual leave, including 8 bank holidays
-
Workplace pension
-
Paid enhanced DBS check
-
Structured induction and ongoing training
-
A clear route to progress into senior and management roles as we grow
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
How to apply
Please email your CV and a short covering letter (no more than one page) to us, explaining why you’re interested in the role and how your studies or experience have prepared you for it. Please include “Team Leader – Supported Living” in the subject line.
